10. If any animal under this licence dies or is lost. The licensee must inform the wildlife licencing (pet reptile and amphibian) officer, in writing, of the species type/name, identification number, time, date and cause of death or  loss within 72 hours. Dead fauna are to be individually tagged or labelled with identification &/or specimen number and preserved in alcohol or frozen as soon as possible after death. They are to be kept by the licensee untill authorised by the department of disposal options

If you have an animal that has either died, escaped or been stolen you must notify the current wildlife licencing officer within 72 hours.

You may be asked to submit some or all of the following information in regards to the animal;

*Species

*Time and date of Death

*Reason if known

*Identification- id number or tag, microship details etc

If you are planniny to have a post mortem done on the animal you  may also be asked for a copy of the vets report.

If the animal has died you need to tag or label and preserve the animal in either alcohol or in the freezer untill you have been authorised to dispose of the animal.
