16. The licensee shal record details (in duplicate) of all transactions, births, deaths or escapes of all fauna held under this licence on the approved record sheet as they occur, and shal submit one copy as per condition 3 and retain the duplicate, and make the duplicate available to a wildlife officer on demand.
As per condition 3 records must be kept stating any births, deaths, breeding, escapes etc of any animals held on a keepers licence.
These records must be kept in duplicate. You must have a duplicate copy of all records and transactions. This is to allow for the one copy of records submitted at the end of the 3 month period and one to keep on hand.
This mainly relates to keepers who post their records in which would result in no previos records being available once quarterlies have been sent off id no duplicate is kept.
The duplicate copy can be either an additional hard copy or a digital copy kept on a computer. Duplicates must be kept and at lease one copy or records must be available at all times to present to a wildlife officer is asked.
